American Bikers for Awareness, Training, & Education, or A.B.A.T.E., is a grassroots organization up of motivated individuals who are dedicated to FREEDOM OF THE ROAD!  A.B.A.T.E. is a political watchdog, working to insure that you, the biker, has a voice in the political process.  And preserving your freedom of choice is a never ending battle. A.B.A.T.E.  DOES NOT advocate that you ride without a helmet, only that you have the right to decide.

A.B.A.T.E. is working to change the public's view of bikers as outlaws or social outcast. But it is also our responsibility to improve that image and be an active part of society. Educational programs, fundraisers, charity benefits, and volunteer work are a few examples of how we are working to improve our biker image.

The structure of A.B.A.T.E. is very basic- MEMBERS!

Membership is open to anyone interested in promoting freedom of choice, whether you own or ride a motorcycle or not. The wishes of the members are carried out by their elected Board of Directors, and their local chapters.
